From 30 june to 1 july 2016, will be held at the SOFITEL Hotel Ivoire Abidjan, both the launch of the AFRICAN Capacity Building Foundation Strategic Plan and the donors’ conference.
Organized by Côte d’Ivoire and in cooperation with the African Development Bank, the initiative aims to mobilize the necessary resources to finance the activities of the foundation over the 2017-2021 period.
In order to support the reinforcement of the administration capacities (at regional, national and provincial level), of the civil society and the private sector, the needs of the ACBF strategic plan for the next 4 years shall be estimated at 250 million USD.
The new strategy, aims to create “qualified people and strong institutions that will help change Africa”. In pursuing this objective, the ACBF will focus on accelerating and enhancing the development of the essential technical skills (equity and consolidation, retention and utilization of capacities; strengthening of key development institutions)
In doing so, the ACBF intends to ensure the effectiveness in the implementation of the achievements, the sustainability of the results, to strengthened leadership and the change of mindset so that to ensure the control and the implementation of global, continental and national strategies.
In 25 years, our common foundation which has helped trained more than 50.000 experts in macroeconomic policy analysis, across 45 countries, will, during the meeting in Abidjan, know a new momentum. This, suppose our political and financial support and as African government, the ownership of this development tool.
In order to consolidate and capitalize on the existing, The ACBF would be please to beneficiate from the leadership of each participating country. That is why, with the hope that we can take advantage of the present conference to push forward for the emergence of our countries, I urge each participant to fully commit to the success of these two days of work regarding the major economic challenges.
